Mortgage
lending institutions all require confidential information when
making a mortgage loan application. To expedite the process of
loan approval, you will want to gather all of the following.
(Only those that apply to you)
- A copy of the Sales Contract -
Signed by ALL parties.
- Social
Security Numbers for all applicants.
- Three
months recent Bank Statements and/or pay stubs for most
recent pay period.
- W-2
Forms for the last two years.
- If you are Self-Employed,
business and personal tax returns for the past
two years will be required, also, Profit and Loss
Statements and Balance Sheets with Year-To-Date
earnings.
- Mutual
Fund account numbers and address: 3 months statements.
- Copy
of your company's current "Thrift" plan,
pension fund, or retirement benefits.
- If
you are a landlord, provide copies of tenancy lease
agreements and verify income.
- If you currently rent your
home/apt./condo/etc., obtain a letter from your
landlord explaining your rental stability. (Do
you pay on time every time?)
- Serial
Numbers and Face values of U.S. Savings Bonds and other
stocks.
- Any
property settlements caused by divorce or separation.
- If
you are stating Alimony as income, provide proof of
amounts received {e.g. copies of cancelled checks,
military allotments or bank statements: must
have 12 months documentation}
- Credit
card statements showing CURRENT balance and
account number.
- ANY
papers about bankruptcy judgment. Provide copies of
original filed documentation and the discharge papers.
- Bankruptcies need only be
reported if filed within the last seven (7)
years.
- Refinancing
your home? Provide all of the following:
- Name
of Lending Institution
- Address
- Account
Number, and
- Customer
Service contact Number.
- Assets including vehicles:
- Year
- Make
- Model
- Verification
of Employment: Provide a letter from your boss or
Payroll/Human Resources Department
